Why my classes are different?

After more than 12 years of teaching Pilates,

I've learnt that the most effective classes aren't necessarily the hardest.

They're the ones that help people truly reconnect with their bodies.

 

I've taught everywhere—from large group fitness classes and boutique studios to women's health physiotherapy clinics, private sessions, and specialised prenatal and postnatal programs.

 

Those experiences have shaped the way I teach today.

I've explored many different styles of Pilates over the years, yet I continue to come back to what drew me to it in the first place:

Breathing.

Centering.

Concentration.

Control.

Flow.

Precision.

​Rather than rushing from exercise to exercise, we'll move with purpose.

 

You'll learn to understand your body, build strength with control, and develop movement patterns that support you long after class finishes.

Because I believe Pilates is at its most powerful when every movement has intention.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm new to Pilates. Can I still join?

Absolutely. My classes are designed to be welcoming and accessible for beginners, with plenty of guidance, modifications, and options throughout.

 

If you're pregnant and have never done Pilates before, you're very welcome too. Many women join my Prenatal Pilates classes for their very first Pilates experience. Every exercise is thoughtfully adapted to support your changing body, helping you move safely and confidently throughout your pregnancy.

 

Do I need to be flexible?

Not at all. Pilates helps you improve mobility over time.

 

What should I bring?

Just wear comfortable clothing. Mats and equipment are provided by Bhav.

 

​What stage of pregnancy can I join your prenatal class?

You can join at any stage of your pregnancy, provided you've been cleared to exercise by your healthcare provider. Every exercise is adapted to suit your trimester and how you're feeling on the day.

Is Prenatal Pilates safe?

Yes. Classes are specifically designed for pregnancy and led by a Women's Health Pilates Specialist with extensive training in prenatal movement. Every session is carefully programmed to support your changing body safely.

What if I'm experiencing pelvic girdle pain or back pain?

Many women find Pilates helps relieve common pregnancy aches and pains. Exercises can be modified to suit your individual needs, and you'll always be encouraged to work within your comfort level.

Will the classes prepare me for birth?

Yes. These classes are designed to prepare your body for birth by developing the right balance of strength, mobility and flexibility. We'll focus on breath, pelvic floor awareness, body awareness, and learning when to both engage and relax. My goal is to help you feel strong, confident and prepared for birth and postpartum recovery.

I'm looking for birth preparation as well as exercise. Is this class suitable?

Absolutely. As both a Women's Health Pilates Specialist and Birth Doula, my classes go beyond exercise. You'll learn to connect with your breath, understand your changing body, and build the strength, mobility and body awareness that can support you throughout pregnancy, birth and recovery.
